About Gleefund

Gleefund is an independent project that helps people understand US retirement-account decisions through plain-English explanations and private, browser-based scenario tools. It does not provide personalized financial advice.

What Gleefund is

Gleefund is a free, ad-free retirement-account education site. It offers calculators for 401(k) contributions, employer match, loans, early withdrawals, growth, withdrawal duration, Roth vs Traditional IRA comparisons, and Roth conversions. It also offers plain-English guides on 401(k)s, IRAs, Roth IRAs, 403(b)s, 457(b)s, the Rule of 55, and related topics.

What Gleefund provides

  • Calculators that run entirely in your browser — your inputs are never sent to a server.
  • Plain-English guides that explain retirement-account concepts without jargon.
  • Side-by-side comparisons of account types and strategies.
  • Links to the official IRS sources behind every policy figure.

Who operates Gleefund

Gleefund is an independent project. It is not affiliated with any financial institution, brokerage, insurance company, or government agency. It is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or tax preparation service.

How content is reviewed

Gleefund maintains all IRS policy figures — contribution limits, tax brackets, standard deduction amounts, and income phase-out ranges — in a single rules layer. Each value has a source URL and review date. Figures are checked against official IRS publications when the IRS announces annual updates, typically in October or November. Legislative values, such as the 10% early-distribution penalty and 401(k) loan limits, are checked against the relevant Internal Revenue Code sections and updated only when Congress changes the law. The current review date is 2026-09-25.

What Gleefund is not

Gleefund is not a financial advisor, tax preparer, brokerage, or personalized investment recommendation service. Its calculations are simplified estimates. Using Gleefund does not create a client, customer, or fiduciary relationship. See the disclaimer for details.
